Natasha grew up in Somerset and studied English Literature, Theatre and the Humanities at the University of York, Mount Holyoke College and the University of Chicago. Over-educated and entirely unemployable she spent the rest of her twenties living in York, writing TV listings and working as a barista and a projectionist.

She moved to London in 2015 to take the MA in Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths, through which she met her stupendous agent and found a home for His Perfect Wife with Penguin.

She now writes from her home in south-east London and teaches creative writing at City Lit.
